Word's for Life: This small group meets weekly to discuss the
previous Sunday's Gospel and homily and how to apply it to every day
life.
Couples' Groups: These groups
bring together couples to share their faith, support each other, improve
the foundations of their relationship, and learn about a Christian
approach to marriage.
Men's Groups: These groups
facilitate men gathering together to share their faith, support each
other, and learn about a Christian approach to masculinity regarding
both the single and married states in life.
Women's Groups: These groups
facilitate women gathering together to share their faith, support each
other, and learn about a Christian approach to femininity regarding both
the single and married states in life.
Study Groups: These groups bring
together people who are interested in learning about topics which are
relevant to the Christian life. Groups can be organized around a wide
variety of topics or geared toward various affinity groups.
Parish Membership: The membership
ministry welcomes new members to the parish. It hosts events at which
new members can register, learn about parish ministry opportunities and
be introduced to the parish community. The membership ministry also
coordinates Orientation Sessions to teach new parishioners about the
mission of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and to help assimilate them
into the life of the parish community.
Young Adults: St. Mary of the
Assumption Parish's Young Adult Ministry supports members of the parish
who are in their 20's and 30's. Young Adult Ministry organizes social
and spiritual events which are specifically designed to meet the needs
of young adults. The ministry also collaborates with the Christian
Brothers' Spiritual Center in providing programming specifically
designed for a young adult audience.
