Educational Ministries have a
connection to the community at large, the parish community, the
Directors of the various ministries at the parish, the people who serve
on Parish Councils, and those who exercise leadership roles on behalf of
the parish. Specifically: Adult Education, Ecumenical and Interreligious,
Extension, The Delta Program, the Pastoral and Finance Council, and the

Formational Ministries support the development of small faith communities of
parishioners within the parish. Small Group Ministries also oversee
matters pertaining to Growth Groups, small groups, and young adult ministries.

Liturgical Ministries
support worship and prayer activities, most especially the Mass, through
which the faithful are nourished by God's Presence in Word and
Sacrament. Specifically: Altar servers, Art and Environment, Audio
Visual Ministry, Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Music, Sextons, and

Operational Ministries relate to the temporal functions of the parish. They include
areas which deal with the business operations, facilities management,
the running of the Parish Office, and the janitorial upkeep of the
properties. Specifically: Membership, Business, Facilities, Office, and

Youth and Family Ministries and activities relate to the various stages
of life, namely, adult, youth, and children, as well as family related
matters. In addition, these ministries address Sacramental preparation
matters for anyone who desires to receive the Sacraments or proceed
toward full communion within the Catholic? Church. Specifically:
Adult, Cares, children's, Summer Camp, and Youth Ministries. For information regarding any

Manayunk Eucharistic Adoration Chapel:
As described in great detail in our booklet on page 4, the Adoration
Chapel is located on the ground floor of St. Mary of the
Assumption Church and is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday. For

Holy Child Catholic School:
Holy Child Catholic School is the
regional Catholic school which Pre-K through grade 8 aged children from
St. Mary of the Assumption Parish attend. For information, contact Mr.
