Why Join the Adult and Children's Ministries?
The Adult and Children's Ministries work to minister to the spiritual formation as well as the emotional, physical and social needs of our members and the community at large. Here you can use your God-given talents to teach, lead, and support your Catholic family.
Just for Moms
Just for Moms is a group who gather to support one another in their vocation as moms. Meetings are every Friday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Sessions include time for praying, socializing, and discussing various topics that help moms grow in their faith. Toddlers are welcome to attend with their mom. Newcomers are always welcomed. This group also sponsors Wednesday After School Club at Holy Child School. Each month has a planned activity for example: knitting, fitness, baking, and fashion design.
Liturgy of the Word for Children
The Liturgy of the Word for Children ministry is coordinated by a group who spread the Good News to children. Children 5 years and older are invited to participate during the 10am Mass on Sundays. After the opening prayer, the children are invited to an area in the church where they listen to Scriptures proclaimed on an age-appropriate level. Activities and explanations are used to enrich the child's understanding of the Scripture readings. Children rejoin their parents in Church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Those who have a gift for teaching children and a love for scripture are encouraged to join. Ministers serve once a month.
Outreach
The Outreach team of spreads the Good News by providing various social events: Basket & Caroler Bingo, Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt, Luau, Fourth of July Picnic, Oktoberfest, and Halloween Spooky Movie Night. They also are responsible for the monthly Parish Breakfast on the 2nd Sunday after the 10am Mass. These events reach out and invite non-parishioners to join with our parish community. It is a ministry of fun and hospitality. They work closely with the Food Services Ministry and Ladies Aid Society.

Small Groups Ministry
The Small Group Ministry is devoted to helping all types of people find their place in the church. Small Groups are St. Mary's way of caring and connecting people to each other and ultimately to Jesus Christ. Each group typically consists of four to twelve people who meet on a regular basis (at least every other week) in homes or at church. The groups are formed based on shared interests, shared ministry involvement, or a combination of both. Each small group is customized to meet the needs of its members. Small group workshops are offered several times a year for anyone who is interested in becoming part of the leadership team.
Vacation Bible School
