Pastor: Rev. Charles Zlock - Ext. 11
Fr. Zlock was born in Pottsville, and grew up in Warminster and
Doylestown. His parents are Dr. Charles Zlock, a retired dentist, and
Loretta (Walko) Zlock, a real estate agent. He has one brother, Dr.
Gregory Zlock who is a dentist. Gregory and his wife Margot (a nurse)
live in Missoula, Montana.
Fr. Zlock went to St. Joseph Prep, then graduated from Susquehanna
University with a BS in Management and a Business Certificate in German.
He later matriculated at the University of South Carolina with a
Master’s in International Business. After graduation, he worked in
industry both in Germany and the United States.
Fr. Zlock entered St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in 1989 and was ordained
by Cardinal Bevilacqua in 1994. He was assigned to St. Martin of Tours;
spent 10 years in education as a faculty member and School Minister at
Archbishop Wood High School, Warminster, and then at Neumann-Goretti
High School in South Philadelphia. Afterwards, he was an Assistant
Pastor at St. Agatha-St. James Parish in University City as well as
Chaplain-Director at the Newman Center at the U of P.
Fr. Zlock is a member of the Office for Clergy, responsible for “Ongoing
Formation” (retreats, continuing education, assignment specific
training, etc.) for the priests of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Among his interests are various outdoor activities—back packing, canoe
camping, fly-fishing, golf, reading and cooking. He holds a
second-degree black belt Korean Tang-Soo-Do karate.

Permanent Deacon: Deacon Joseph Sexton - Ext. 10.
Deacon Joe is a life-long member and graduate of St.
Mary's graduating class of 1948. He studied for over 7 years with the
Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity in Alabama. Soon after,
he acquired a job with the Pennsylvania Railroad and then he enlisted in
the Army's Security Agency. While stationed in Japan, he met his wife.
Deacon Joe has 4 children and 10 grandchildren. In 1990, he entered the
Deaconate and was ordained in June 1995. Deacon Joe baptized his wife of
44 years shortly before her death on April 4, 2003.

After spending 31 years working in the pharmaceutical and
chemical industries Gus felt called to make a change and is
excited to work here at St. Mary's. Gus has been blessed with a
26 year marriage to his wife Barb and has two daughters, Amy and
Susie. Working for the church is a family affair with his wife
Barb having been Director of Christian Ed in the Presbyterian
Church and his daughter Amy currently the youth director at St.
Timothy's Episcopal Church in Roxborough. Gus also enjoys
traveling with his family, renovating houses, and playing
basketball.

After studying engineering at Rutgers University, Don spent six
years discerning a religious vocation with the Brotherhood of Hope. Don
has also served as a Catholic campus minister and has lead young adult
and high school youth ministries. He has a Master's degree in Philosophy
from Franciscan University of Steubenville and is working towards a
Doctorate in Philosophy from Villanova University. Don is blessed to be
married for the past seven years to his beautiful bride Kate with whom
he has three children: Daniel, Rusty, and Anna May Rose.

Mary joined the staff at St. Mary's in February 2007. As Director of
Liturgical Ministries, Mary and her group provide quality
liturgical experiences which celebrate the worshipping
community. Prior to working at St. Mary's, Mary was choir
director and Administrative Assistant at St. Denis Parish. Mary
lives in Ardmore, Delaware County, with her husband Carl, and
two daughters, Jennifer and Gabriella. Along with family life,
she enjoys walking, teaching piano, and attending concerts.

Joe grew up in Manayunk and graduated from St. Mary's where he was
an altar server and choir member. He first started working there at the
parish in the summer of 1993. Joe is the second of three children. In
his spare time, Joe enjoys biking, music, movies, surfing the web, and
spending time with his family.

Mike joined St. Mary's in 1962. He first became involved
with the Men's Club and has since served in various ways;
primarily in financial & administrative ministries. After
graduating from St. John's (1-12 grades), he went on to receive
a B.S. in Accounting from St. Joseph's University. He worked for
Ford Motor Company and AMTRAK in the accounting an financial
analysis fields before retiring in 1996. Mike and his wife, Dot,
have four children. Mike and Dot enjoy traveling and spending
time with their three grandchildren.

Mary Beth is a lifelong member of St. Mary's parish. Following
graduation from Hallahan High School, she worked at North Light
Community Center. She then went back to school, earning degrees in
accounting and nursing, and has worked for the American Red Cross. She
began volunteering at St. Mary's in 2004, and became office manager in
2005. Mary Beth is married to Joe and is the mother of three daughters.

Jillian is a dedicated member of our parish, serving as our
facilitaties manager and active in small groups and women's ministries.
You can usually find her behind the scenes with other volunteers that
embrace the St. Mary's tradition of family, friends, and loving
hospitality.
